D3 Level Soccer

There are 425 D3 Women Soccer teams in the U.S. and zero available athletic scholarships to be given away. But non-athletetic scholarships are still able to be given. The competition is still fierce and skill is needed.2.9% of women althetes end up playing in NCAA D3 Women's College Soccer.

What is the best way to get exposure?

Going to a game. The pace of college soccer in general is much faster compared to club or high school soccer. At a game you can see how much skill, speed, and imense strength is used throughout the game by the players as well as how the coaches treat their players.

What does daily life look like?

On average a D3 althete exercises about 30 hours a week and spends 39 hours on academics. A larger percentage than D1 have jobs but it is still small. There is still room for extra curriculars since the focus of D3 is for their athletes to be able to succed academically while playing a sport.

Travel and Affordability

D3 schools although generally small are still very affordable, 80% of D3 athletes revieve financial aid or need-based aid. Traveling still occurs but not as often as the other two divisions. Time commitment is still expected but there is opportunity to travel abroad and meet new people outside of soccer.
